PLAY AND GIFTS ? These South Hoke School Third Graders entertained the school's Second Graders Thursday, and later each of the 183 Second Graders received a Christmas book as a gift paid for by the Raeford Woman 's Club and the Hoke County Board of Education. The students were allowed to choose the books they were to be given. The play, "The 7by Parade, " was presented at the Reading Is Fundamental period by Mrs. Vickie Rose's students. [Staff photo.] Single Parents Association To Meet Dec. 30 The Sandhills Single Parents Association met on December 16 at 6:30 p.m. for a covered-dish supper. Gifts were exchanged among the children. The next meeting will be on January 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church on East Indiana Avenue, Southern Pines. Officers for the new year will be elected.
