4-H Club Welcomes New Members The Hillcrest 4-H Club enjoyed a lively meeting on February 16. with 23 persons in attendance. Several new members were wel comed and encouraged to till out Project Selection Sheets. New record manuals were received by old members and the new members will receive theirs within the next few weeks. Get to work on them early as Achievement Night comes early this year. Several 4-Hers will be in Kinston February 2t> and 2~" tor a weekend iif fun and learning combined. You will hear reports on these activities at the next regular meeting of the Hillcrest Club which will be March 15. at ":00-8:30 p.m. in the Lester Building Conference Room. We need to keep in mind the upcoming workshops that pertain to our individual activities and make every effort to make this year a really big year for 4-H in Hoke County. The retreat will be held at the Holiday Inn in Kinston February 2t> and 2?. Those who will attend from Hoke County are Sharon McNeill. Tammie Hcndrix. Kim Hawkins. Ronda latum. Laura Ward. Julie Riley, and Sandy Lupo. Mrs. Flovd McNeill and Ann Ross will accom pany the group. The retreat will open with a banquet Friday night, when parti cipants will hear a speaker on "You and Energy." The group will go skating Friday evening. On Saturday, the 4-Hers will hear campaign speeches from those running for district offices this year. They will participate in work shops on "Handicap.
