Nowell, plant engineer at the Smithfield Plant, has been named plant engineer at the Raeford Plant, replacing Paul Cygielman who left the company. Nowell came to Burlington In dustries three years ago, after having been with the Fiber Glass Division of PPG, in Lexington, N.C., for 10 year. He and his wife, the former Mildred "Mickey" Han cock, are natives of Hamlet. He attended various institutes of high er learning, and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State Univer sity. He considers sports to be his favorite "off-the-job ' pastime. Nowell will be in the Raeford plant on a part-time basis during the month of April, until his duties in Smithfield are complete.
