Area Incidents Vandalism, Thefts Reported The following were filed at the Raeford Police Department recent ly, Police Chief Leonard Wiggins reported. Dr. Ramnik Zota reported Fri day someone broke a headlight of his car with a rock. The light was valued at SI 2. Two juveniles stole two cakes worth 49 and 47 cents at The Pantry on Harris Avenue Friday. The children were caught by police, and the cases were turned over to the juvenile authorities. Rhonda Monroe reported Satur day she had moved from 133 Chilton Dr. to a residence on Turnpike Road and that when she returned to the Chilton Drive house she discovered her $29.95 charcoal grill missing. Ronald Nave, 216 Roberts St., reported Friday someone broke the back window and cut the four tires on his car. The damage amounted to $200 for the glass and about $300 for the tires. Ptl. George Baker discovered Sunday the front door of 401 Gulf service station on the U.S. 401 Bypass and the cigarette machine inside pried open. The thief stole $40 from the machine and did about $30 to the door and $105 to the machine. Sheila Mansfield Keck of 121 Chilton Dr. reported Monday someone stole a lounge chair worth S9.36 from her back yard. The following were filed with the Hoke County Sheriff's Depart ment. The Party Shop and State Seafood, Inc., of Rt. 1, Raeford, U.S. 401 South, were broken into, and 30 cartons of cigarettes worth $143.70 and $5 in cash were stolen Sunday. Someone forced open a door at McMillan's Store on Rt. 1, Raeford, U.S. 401 bypass Sunday. Nothing was reported missing, and SI 5 damage had been done to the door. Someone broke into a juke box, a cash register and a Pac-man \ideo game machine and stole money Sunday, but the amount was not listed. Saturday night or early Sunday, a Boxer bulldog tied in the rear of Davis Cash Mart in Bowmore was shot by a shot gun. The owner, Frank Davis of Rt. 1, Raeford, reported he left the store late Saturday night and found the dog when he returned Sunday. A $100 reward is being offered to the per son who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed the dog. The dog was valued at $500. Perry Purcell of Rt. 1, Box 126, Raeford, reported Friday someone stole two speakers worth $199.90 and a Timex watch worth $41 from his car. Michael William Hamilton of Rt. 2, Box 263-C, Raeford, reported $489 worth of personal I goods was stolen from his property Thursday or Friday. The articles stolen were a set of weights, a chain saw, a radio, a bicycle, an axe, a cassette holder, and a rod and reel. William Rogers of Rt. 1, Aber deen, reported someone stole a bicycle, a post-hole digger, two hoes, a push plow and a garden rake valued at S171.90 total from his property March 4. Someone broke into the home of John Lewis McNeill of Rt. 3, Raeford^May 3 or 4 but nothing was found missing.
