In District Court Welfare Fraud, Larceny, DUIs Heard The following Hoke County Dis trict Court judgments were issued Thursday. Harold Daniel Duckworth, Rt. 2, Denver, N.C., speeding 71 in a 55 zone, voluntary dismissal by the prosecutor; exceeding a safe speed, prayer for judgment continued, costs; displaying an expired in registration plate, S25 fine. Neil Archie McMillan, Rt. I. Box 209, Shannon, driving under the influence, pleaded not guilty, found not guilty of DUI, found guilty of careless and reckless driving after drinking. 181 days suspended for two years, probation for two years, $300 and costs. Karen Graham, Box 1091, Rae ford. food stamp fraud, four to 12 months suspended for three years, probation for three years, S100 and costs, and S182 restitution to the Hoke County Department of Social Services, and costs; welfare fraud, four to 12 months suspended for three years, probation for three years, $100 and costs, and $197 restitution to the Hoke County Department of Social Services, and costs. Sandhills Community College Interested students are reminded the upholstery class will start at 7 p.m. Thursday in Old County Office Building on West Elwood Avenue. The course is being spon sored by the Sandhills Community College Continuing Education De partment. Mrs. Ferrell Nickens is the instructor. The class will run to the end of July and will be the only upholstery class which will be held this summer.
