While the children were singing, faces brightened and softened. Lines of worry, depression, and pain were changed into smiles. Amy had seen the cares and burdens of age melt briefly away, and she had known the joy of helping to make it all happen. Perhaps she felt a little like Isaiah felt when he realized that God had chosen him to bring good news to the exiles in Babylon. The poem in Isaiah 61 fairly tingles with the excitement, the happiness, the privilege, of carrying God's mes sage of love and salvation. Day by day. at various times and places, each of us comes upon opportunities to serve as God's messenger. If we grasp these opportunities and sing out the song God's messenger. It we grasp these opportunities and sing out the song God has given, then we. too, may know the wonder of seeing someone transformed bv the message of love. PRAYER: Thank You. Lord, for the jov of singing a love song to Your people. Amen, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY I can sing God's life-renewing song. - copyright -THE UPPER ROOM --Barbara P.
