Bowers-Faircloth Couple Wed In Outdoor Ceremony Sat. Miss Emma Jane Faircloth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Faircloth, Sr. of Raeford. and Carl Scott Bowers, son of Mrs. Martha Nave of Raeford and Carl Bowers of Boerne, Texas, were married on Saturday, June 26 at 6:00 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony held at the bride's home. The Rev. Billy Beaver officiated for the double ring vows. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of organza and Chantilly lace. The bodice featured an empire waistline adorned with a Chantilly lace band and scattered with seed pearls. The long organza sleeves with lace motifs ended at the wrist with a cuff of lace. Her A-lined organza skirt featured twin panels of Chantilly lace and extended into a chapel train bordered with Chantilly lace. She chose a chapel-length Chantilly mantilla for her headpiece and carried a colonial bouquet of silk daisies with babies' breath, rose buds. and streamers made by her mother. Daphne McBryde served as maid of honor. She wore a formal gown of baby blue with spaghetti straps and carried a single carnation. Holly Scarboro was flower girl. Best man was Jim Bowers, of Southern Pines, uncle of the bride groom. Miss Kim Bounds assisted by playing The Wedding March which was pre-taped. The mother of the bride chose a mint green dress with sheer overlay for her daughter's wedding. The bridegroom's mother wore a chiffon dress with floral print. They both wore a corsage of yellow, pink, and white daisies with babies' breath. After a wedding trip to Boone, the couple will be at home in Southern Pines. The Rev. Billy Beaver officiated for the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas Hottel of Kaeford. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Garfield Warren of Chocowinity. Queen Anne neckline, and cap sleeves trimmed m silk Venice lace and pearls. She wore a picture hat with silk Venice ace and pearls with a chapel length illusion and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow silk rosebuds, daisies, and gypsophila with varigated greenery. Mrs. Kim Wood of Elon served as matron of honor. Misses Sallv Maxwell and Gay Ivey of Raeford were bridesmaids. They wore gowns of vellow lustrous polvester kmt featuring double spaghetti straps, shirred bodice, empire waistline, and pleated skin, and accented with a capelot of polvester chiffon. The matron of honor carried a natural straw basket of silk rose buds and daisies with gypsophila and streamers to coordinate with ner costume. The bridesmaids carried matching baskets of silk yellow and white daisies and gvp sophila with matching streamers Mr. Warren served as his son's nest man. Ushers were Jimmv Maxwell. Ricky Mclnnis. and Neil McKenzie all of Raeford. The mother of the bride wore a corsage of white silk royal bouquet orchids, and the bridegroom's mother's corsage was of silk mauve evmbidium orchids and gypso phila. The mother's pews were marked by candles and greenery. The grandmother's corsage was a silk pastel pink parrot tulip with candle flowers. For traveling, the bride wore a peachy and white sundress with matching jacket. After a wedding trip to the beach, the couple will reside at Route 2. Raeford. The bride is a senior at Pem broke State University majoring in Social Work and is employed by tu aw . Jewelers of Raeford The bridegroom is a graduate of N-v.. State University and is employed as the District Soil Conservationalist in Hoke County. RECEPTION The bride's parents hosted a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall im mediately following the ceremony. Miss Delissa Lunsford poured punch Cake was served by Miss Hope Wilhams and Mrs. Barbara Rozjer. The bride's book was kept by Mrs. Eula Lunsford. Tea girls were Misses Kim and Carol Colston and Misses Karen and Kristin Langdon. The reception table was deco rated with an arrangement of yellow carnations, white daisies, Peruvian lilies, tree fern and cen tered with a hurricane globe with matching yellow taper. REHEARSAL DINNER The parents of the bridegroom Mrs. Samuel Garfield Warren entertained at a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Chason's Bar beque in Lumber Bridge. BRIDESMAIDS' LUNCHEON A bridesmaids luncheon was held at the home of Mrs. David Upchureh of Lumberton. Hostesses for othe occasion were Miss Gay Ivey and Mrs. Sally Maxwell of Raeford and Mrs. Mark Wood of Burlington. Tables were set for twelve in the dining and living rooms. The dining table was covered with an embroidered linen cloth with an arrangement of miniature carna tions, roses, alstoemeria lilies, glads and statiee. Small baskets of miniature carnations and babies' breath were placed on the in dividual tables. The bride was presented with an appliance for her new home.
