On the first week of summer vacation I went to Mill stone 4-H Horse Camp. 1 would like to tell you about my trip. It was very educational if you want to learn about horses. We had to take our horse or pony. 1 have a Palomino pony. Babe. Sunday, we were to arrive with ^our horse. My horse did not come ^because she needed the Coggins Test. Dr. Tate went to our farm and took some blood from my pony so she could arrive on Monday. 1 learned a lot of things such as (1) grooming, (2) health. (3) breed ing, (4) showing, (5) training, (6) riding, etc. Also there were swimming. ^Ranoeing and wildlife studies. At ?ight we would go to the mess hall and have vespers 11:30-12. Thurs day we took our horses riding on a six-mile trail ride. It was so much fun. Babe and 1 really got to know each other better. 1 would like to thank Sandy Ramey and Dr. Russell Tate at the Raeford Animal Clinic, and Alice Lancaster, our local 4-H Club agent, for all their help in getting Qne into camp. 1 want to go again next summer, and I'll be sure to get the Coggins Test early enough.
