recommendation to approve a
planned subdivision to be de

Sandra L. Blaeser joined the
Burlington Mcnswear Dyeing Plant
on June 28, as a manufacturing
management trainee.
She previously lived in Atlanta,
Pa., where she attended Georgia
Tech. She received her Bachelor of
Science degree in textile technology
in June.
Sandra lives in Raeford; her
hobbies include bicycling, reading
and swimming.

twelve of us were together and we
stood in line ten minutes to get into
China's lovely exhibit? Our first
day (Friday. July 9th) we did not
find the grounds crowded. The
second day (Saturday, July 10th)
there were more fairgoers but still
not so many that you could not
move from one exhibit to another
with ease. The sky was overcast and
temperature not too high. Rains
came but at night so it did not
affect our activities. The live per
formances at the Philippine,
Korean and Japan exhibits were
great with song, dance and lovely
costumes. I had the opportunity of
making a long distance phone call
to anywhere in the world from a
Lincoln Continental. 1 chose
Detroit and was fun to sit at the
steering wheel and talk to Jane (our
daughter) without the conventional
phone (sounding device in sun visor
- dial on dash). What will come
next? We do not know.
Well I could go on with a lot of
good things but I must report to
class at 8;30 Monday morning (July
1 2th) at N.C. State summer school.
With so much negative being said
about the fair we wanted to report
the positive - all 44 of us.
