Womble were exchanged on Sun day, July 18, at 3:00 p.m. in the Raeford United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Winstead officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Monroe and the bridegroom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Womble, Jr., all of Raeford. A program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. Lewis Up church. Jr., organist, and vocalist, Ken Koonce and Amy Hemmens. Selections included "Let It Be Me" and "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. Julian Johnson, III, directed the wedding. Forming the setting for the double ring ceremony were four seven-branched candelabra with globes and burning tapers. The altar arrangement included a mass arrangement of gladiola, mums, roses and gypsophila, with two colonial stands with ferns, cen tered with a double kneeling bench. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of organza trimmed in beruffled Chantilly lace fashioned with a beaded Queen Anne neckline, fitted sleeves of Chantilly lace, and an attached chapel-length train. Her veil of long illusion was trimmed in matching lace with seed pearls and attached to a Camelot cap. She carried a colonial bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley, and miniature carnations, centered with an orchid. Marinell Johnson served as maid of honor. She was attired in a tea pink matte Jersey gown featuring a Chantilly lace banded yoke with mock surplice bodice and sleeves. A peplum softened the clinched waistline. She carried a colonial bouquet of carnations, daisies, gypsophila and asters. Bridesmaids, whose attire and flowers were identical to that of the maid of honor, were Barbara Ann Richardson of Southern Pines, Kristi Posey of Raeford and Char lene Averitt of Fayetteville. Mr. Womble served as his son's best man. Ushers were Larry Hubbard of Rocky Mount. Randy Frahm of Raeford, and Michael Goff of Lumberton. Child attendants were Jaime Ann Womble, flower girl, and Julian Samuel Johnson, IV, ringbearer. The flower girl wore a floor length dress of white eyelet featuring a selfrutYle at the hemline and an eyelet ruffle at the neckline trimmed in rosebud lace. She carried a basket of mixed summer flowers. The mother of the bride chose a dusty rose Qiana gown fashioned with a fitted waistline, wrapped skirt, and a matching chiffon cape. The bridegroom's mother wore a floor-length empire-styled gown of rose Qiana with matching chiffon cape. The mothers of the bridal couple each wore an orchid, and the grandmothers, a corsage of daisies. After a wedding trip to the North Carolina coast, the couple will reside at Green Pines Trailer Park in Raeford. The bride is a graduate of Pembroke State University with a BS degree in Business Education. The bridegroom also received his BS degree in Business Administra tion. with a concentration in ac counting. RECEPTION The parents of the bride enter tained at a reception in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Leach welcomed guests and goodbyes were said by Mr. and Mrs. Randall Ashburn. Punch was poured by Dell Beaudoin and cake was served by Hester Williams and Betty Mc Donald.
