I Magistrates Court Deaths And Funerals Keaha Michelle Brown Kesha Michelle Brown, 7-year old daughter of Linda and Joshua Brown, died Monday morning after being found in bed in her home on Rt. 1, Raeford, not breathing. Dr. Ramnik Zota, a Hoke County medical examiner, said she was dead on arrival at his office after being taken there by shortly before 9 a.m. by her mother. He said a report of the initial examination made by the state medical examiner's staff in Chapel Hill said the cause of death was not determined specifically but Ramnik said a detailed chemical, blood and microscopic examina tions would be made to pinpoint the cause, and that the findings probably would be reported in about a week. Zota said the child's grand mother found the girl wasn't breathing and her body was cold shortly after the child's mother left for work and that she called Mrs. Brown at the office and told her. The child's father is a former Raeford policeman and Hoke County deputy sheriff now living in Charlotte. Her mother is on the staff of the Hoke County De partment of Social Services. Her father came to Raeford after being notified by the sheriff's department of the child's death. Buie Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Bessie Lessanc Mrs. Bessie Lessane, 78. of Rt. 1, Shannon, died July 20. The funeral was conducted Sat urday afternoon in Laurel Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Harry McRae. Burial was in the church cemetery. William WUkes, Jr. William Wilkes. Jr.. of Pompano Beach. Fla.. died July 20. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon in Pompano Beach. Service Personnel Staff Sgt. James C. Willis grad uated from Drill Sergeants'-School at Ft. Dix, N.J., July 2. He has been in the Army 11 years. His wife and family attended the graduation. Willis's wife is the former Patsy Dees of Rockfish. His mother is Mrs. Alton Willis of Dundarrach. He is the grandson of Tommy and Nora Gibson of Raeford.
