Arnett- Page Couple Married
At Ft. Bragg Chapel Saturday

of Raeford, and Captain Robert
Michael Arnett, son of retired Maj.
and Mrs. Marion Lee Arnett of
Spartanburg, were married Sat
urday at 2 p.m. at the Main Post
Chapel at Fort Bragg with the Rev.
John C. Ropp officiating.
The altar was centered with an
arrangement of white sunburst
gladiolus, fuji, mums and pompons
flanked by two seven branched
I candelabra. Two Boston ferns and
two palms graced the chancel.
A program of wedding music was
provided by Mrs. Beverly Moylan,
organist, and Tim Lloyd, soloist,
who sand "One Hand, One Heart,"
"The Wedding Song" and "The
Lord's Prayer".
The bride was escorted by her
father. She wore a gown of candle
light beige, Victorian style, featur
} ing a bodice of softly pleated
chiffon over satin, with a sheer
neckline, a high Venise lace collar
and pleated sleeves with inserts of
Venise lace and cuffed with lace.
The gown flowed from a natural
waistline into a semi-cathedral
train edged with pleated chiffon
and lace. Her chapel length veil was
scalloped with Point DEspirit lace
and attached to a Juliet cap. She
carried a nosegay of ivory sweet
I heart roses, stephanotis and baby's
breath with ivory lace and ivory
satin streamers.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
William Paul Davis, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Miss
Debbie Brown, Miss Terri Brown
of Chapel Hill, Mrs. Elizabeth
Long of Fayetteville and Mrs.
Jennifer Page of Pinehurst. Junior
bridesmaid was Miss Kelly Lowery
' of Morganton.
The attendants wore formal Vic
torian gowns of Mauve. They
carried nosegays of burgundy
sweetheart roses, pin miniature fuji
mums and baby's breath with ivory
lace and burgundy satin streamers.
Flower girl was Miss Elizabeth
Arnett, niece of the groom, of
Spartanburg. She carried a white
wicker basket of sweetheart bur
| gundy roses, miniature mums and
baby's breath with burgundy satin
streamers.
The bridegroom's father was best
man. Ushers were Williard Page.
Jr. of Pinehurst, Dr. Marion Arnett
of Anderson, S.C. and Randall Hill
of Woodbridge, Va. Ringbearer
was John Moultry Oliver. Ill, of
Goldsboro.
The mother of the bride wore a
| floor length mint green of chiffon
and the bridegroom's mother wore
a Victorian gown of seaspray
chiffon. Both wore corsages.
Mrs. Chris Yeager of Fayetteville
directed the wedding.
A reception followed the cere
mony at the Fort Bragg Officers'

etteville served champagne and
Miss Ruth Wilson of Fayetteville

sortment of hors'doeuvers. A pro
gram of reception music was
provided.
The bride received B.S. Degree
from East Carolina University and
has a master's degree from the
University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. She is employed as an
English teacher in Fayetteville.

Choir Director
Honored
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby McBryde
entertained at their home at 225
West 6th Ave. on Tuesday evening
of last week in honor of Mr. and
Mrs. Ashley Eurell. Mr. Eurell is
the new choir director at the
Raeford Presbyterian Church, re
placing Chris Watkins. who left
Raeford in early summer for
Decatur. Ga. The Eurells who
came here from Montgomery, Ala.,
arrived on Monday of last week and
are temporarily residing in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. McBryde.
Choir members and their spouses
were invited to arrive at 6 p.m. for a
cookout. Brunswick stew was
served with accessories, iced tea
and chocolate cake, at tables set up
in the back yard and covered with
red and white check tablecloths.

Saturday at the Main Post Chapel

were Lisa Alarcon and Debra
Watts, both of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of

honored on her 78th birthday at the
Evangelical Methodist Church in
Raeford at a surprise birthday
party.
Host for the occasion were her

andria. Va.; Mr. and Mrs. John T.
Davis. Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
T. Davis. Mrs. Lillian Oliver and
son. Buddy, all of Raeford.
60 guests including neighbors,
friends and relatives were invited to
the Fellowship Hall for a luncheon.
The guest of honor table was
covered with a lace cloth and
centered with a colorful arrange
ment of mixed fall flowers in a
silver container. Fall flowers also
adorned the entrance hall.
