'Mr. Shields, Miss Jones Wed In New Pilgrim Holiness Church Miss De lores A. Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Jones, Jr. of ^ Raeford, and Mr. Randy L. Shields, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Shields of Winston- Salem, spoke their wedding vows Saturday September 25 at New Pilgrim Holiness Church in Raeford. Elder Mary Graham of New Pilgrim Church of Raeford officiated. Wedding music was presented by Kevin Scott of Winston-Salem as pianist. Mrs. Patricia Shields of _ Winston Salem, sister-in-law of V the groom, Rene Williams of Newton Grove and Michael Scott of Winston Salem served as vocalists. The altar arrangement consisted of pink and white silk flowers with green leaves, candelabras and kneeling bench. The flowers and arrangement were furnished by Hollingsworth Florist. Escorted by her father, the bride ^ wore a long white gown with small ^ pleats in the front which were trimmed with lace. She wore a white veil trimmed with lace. She carried a bouquet of white silk roses with small rose colored roses intertwined, with long white ribbon streamers. Deborah Jones, sister of the bride was maid of honor. She wore a long pink polyester gown draped with a silklike capelet and carried a ? small bouquet of pink and white silk carnations with pink ribbon streamers. The bridesmaids were Donyea Dockery, Brenda Graham, Mrs. Shirley Hough, cousins of the bride, Mrs. Sherry Jones, sister-in law of the bride, Gail Shields, sister of the groom, Yvonia Gilmore, Tawanna Graham, Debra Joyner, Valerie Purdie and Pamela ? Warren, friends of the bride. Their dresses were rose colored and made similar to that of the bridesmaid. The flower girl was Tamecia Jones, niece of the bride./ She was escorted by James Jones, Jr., nephew of the bride. The ring bearer was Keith Shields, nephew of the croom. Wallace Shields, Jr.. brother ol the groom, served as best man. ? The groomsmen were Kenneth Shields, Terry Shields, Timothy Shields, brothers of the groom, David A. Jones, Terry Jones, Curtis Jones, brothers of the bride, Kevin Cash, Michael Scott, Jerry Scott and Ernest Scott, friends of the groom. Following the ceremony, dinner was served in the church dining hall ^ which consisted of ham, chicken, ? potato salad, string beans, and rolls. The wedding cake was made by Mrs. Reatha Long of Raeford. The couple will make their home in Winston-Salem. Jordan Reunion Attended By 44 Family Members The descendants of Jeptha Franklin and Sally Kelly Jordan met for an annual reunion on Sunday, September 26, 1982 at the home of Mrs. Julius F. Jordan with Mrs. Faye B. Jordan, co-hosting. A buffet was served to 44 at a sit down dinner. Children and spouses of the late Jordans were Dr. and Mrs. C.B. Randall of Kinston, Dr. and Mrs. Milton Jordan of Fairmont and Dr. Riley Jordan of Raeford. Grandchildren and great grand children came from Jacksonville, Kinston, Cary, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Lum berton. Lumber Bridge, Greenville, Raleigh and Raeford, North Caro lina. Out-of-state relatives came from Beaufort, South Carolina, DeLand, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Dick White returned Sunday after spending several days last week in Charleston and Savan nah. Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Blue and Buddy Blue spent Saturday in Rocky Mount where they visited in the home of her son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fountain. Mrs. Tommie Upchurch and houseguests, her two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Hoyle and Mrs. Laura Thomas of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. N.A. McDonald spent several days this week in Goldsboro visiting Mrs. McDonald's sister, Mrs. Claude Bishop. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris and children of Durham and Tom Harris of Fayetteville spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dickson return ed Saturday after a trip of several weeks to Niagara Fall and through Ontario. Mrs. J.W. Graham returned last week after a two week visit in the home of her son and daughter-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Worth Graham, Jr. and family in Virginia Beach.
