Cadette Girl Scouts are meeting
this year a t Unchurch Junior High
School on Thursday afternoons,
from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
The Cadettes, in addition to
exploring the fire Worlds of Weil
Being, Today and Tomorrow, Arts,
Hsople, and the Out-of- Doors, may
also explore Adventures in Careers.
They learn to make plans for
their troop projects and/or trips,
make decisions, and most impor
tant, to give service to others.
One of the most important
statements about Girl Scouts is:
"To help girls: know they are of
value, improve themselves where
needed, open their eyes to all
around them, know their friends
and neighbors, and have some
insight into their future possibili
ties." (Girl Scout Handbook.)
Any girl of Cadette age who
wishes to join the Cadettes is always
welcome to attend a meeting or call

Division Lt. Gov. Bernard Lowery of Pembroke as John Leandro, installed
as president-elect watches. Leandro will serve as the club's president for
