During the 11 a.m. service on October 3, Brother Johnny Smith, the son of the late Archie Smith, Route 4, Raeford received recogni tion for 19 years of perfect atten dance in the teaching ministry (the Sunday School) of the church. Johnny is an employee of Burl ington Mills and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. His hobbies are bowling and ceramics. What a joy to pay him this honor in a time when many churches are struggling to enroll faithful atten dance of its members. During these 19 years I am sure Johnny had many opportunities to stay home, but church members rejoice that his determination brought him faithfully to his church each Sunday. Members thanked Johnny for the challenge to be faithful to our Lord each Lord's day.
