Turlington chorus singers who gave the musical "The North Pole Rock and Roll. "
Chorus Does Rock-roll Yule Show
The J.W. Turlington Chorus
went back recently to days of bob
by socks and poodle skirts, leather
jackets and juke boxes when it per
formed the musical "The North
Pole Goes Rock and Roll."
Santa, played by Doug Simpson,
was afraid that children had
become bored with "the same old
Santa." Much to the dismay of
Mrs. Claus, played by Candice
Cameron. Santa becomes Claus
erelli.
Clauserelli, or "the Claus," was
played by Will Wright.
Everyone went rock and roll, in
cluding Mrs. Claus, who became
"Mrs. C." "Mrs. C." was played
by Kris McMillan.
The chorus was directed by
Vickie Flliott.

Langdon Named
PIO for Schools
Another 'hat' has been added to
the Audiovisual Director of the
Hoke County School System.
On November 9, Superintendent
of Schools Raz Autry named
Glenn Langdon to this position.
The title doesn't carry an in
crease in salary, just an increase in
responsibility.
As Public Information Officer,
Langdon will coordinate all
publicity for the school system. He
will be the liaison between the
schools and the news media.
During the school years 1981-82
and 1982-83, Langdon attended
the state and regional meetings of
the Public Relations Association.
Tom I. Davis, Director of the
Division of Information and
Publications, State Department of
Public Instruction, will work very
closely with Langdon. Davis is a
former newspaper man.
