Mr. And Mrs. Wood Attend Convention In Los Vegas Roy and Jeannette Wood just returned home after a two week stay in Las Vagas, Nevada. They were there attending the 15th an nual convention of the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA). Roy has been serving as President for the organization for the past year. The NAAA is an organization of thirty-four state and regional associations, representing 9000 airports. The associate members are companies related to the Ag. Av. industry. The organization also has inter national members. Roy Wood served for 9 years on the National Board of Directors and was treasurer in 1977. He is a charter member and past president of the N.C. Agricultural Aviation Association. He also serves on the Pesticide Advisory Committee of the N.C. Dept. of Agriculture. The NAAA also has a womens organization known as the Women of the National Agricultural Avia tion, which was organized five years ago. They organized primari ly to aid the NAAA in promoting education and public relations for their industry. Jeannette Wood has served as state director for N.C. for several years, and as vice president in 1980 and as president in 1981 for WNAAA. This year at the annual banquet Roy was presented an "Outstan ding Service" award and Jeanette the "Most Active woman" award. Roy Wood has been actively engaged in airplane crop spraying in Hoke and surrounding counties for the past twenty-three years. His home and business are located in the Timberland community of Hoke County.
