Carolina Telephone Changes Regulations On 3-Party Calls After Jan. 10, when Carolina Telephone customers make long distance telephone calls from pay stations and wish to bill them to a third party, the third party must give the operator authorization. T.K. McLaughlin, general operator services manager with Carolina Telephone, said. "This new policy will protect customers from being billed for calls they do not authorize. It also will save the company, and ultimately all customers, costs resulting from er roneously or fraudulently billed calls. "If customers have a toll Calling Card, they can charge their calls back to their home or business phone. Also, some Calling Card calls are cheaper than operator handled bilNto-thtrd number calk."
