Local Jaycees Open Jelly Sales The Raeford Jaycees with the other North Carolina Jaycee chapters are planning for their an nual Jaycee Jelly Sales to raise money for the North Carolina Burn Center at Chapel Hill. Ken Koonce, president of the Raeford group, said this week. Lasting throughout the month of January, this year's campaign will be the ninth year of the Jelly Sales. Jaycee chapters all across the state will be selling the jars of jelly for $1 each. Cumberland Artists Featured At Museum In F ayetteville The work of artists native to or residents of Cumberland County is the subject of the second "Close To Home" exhibit at the Fayet teville Museum of Art January 30 - February 13. "Close to Home" is an invita tional biennial exhibition intended to recognize artists in the area for consistent and sustained achieve ment in the visual arts. "Close to Home" will feature several artists that participated in the 1981 show, among them painters Fred Dorr. Saundra Smith Rubiera and Barbara Sutherland, potter Bill Dudley, photographer Raul Rubiera, printmaker Silvana Fori and Margo Dodge. New artists like weaver Karen Wilson, protrait artist Thomas Moore, Jr., painters Lloyd Nick, Marge Wade and Mike Brady will ^ also be featured. The "Close to Home" biennial was started to give Cumberland County some idea of the variety and excellence of artists working in the area, or coming from it, in comparison with the museum's varied exhibition program.
