Charles C. Ansley officiated. Palm trees formed the back ground for two nine branched candelabrums with white silk chrysanthemums and red carna tions. A program of organ music was presented by William Daniels. Mr. Daniels also sang "The Wedding .ong," and "The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Wayne Cribb, chose for her wedding a gown featuring a camelot bodice, long slee\es of lace, a full skirt with three rows of gathered lace and a fingertip veil. ftShe carried a cascade bouquet of Iwhite silk chrysanthemums and red ilk carnations. Miss Maria Peavy of Red Springs ?as maid of honor, and Mrs. iilly Morrison of Raeford, matron ?f honor. N.C Symphony Volunteers Attend Statewide Meeting Local North Carolina Sym phony chapter officers Mary Ar chie McNeill, President, Hoke County Chapter, and Mary G. Senter teamed up with chapter heads from around the state at a two-day conference held at the In stitute of Government in Chapel Hill on February 9-10. The purpose of the con federate/workshop, held annually, is to update chapter volunteers on the year's activities and to share ideas for the upcoming subscrip tion drives and concert promotions in each of the 34 chapters. In addition to discussions on chapter finances, box office pro cedure, publicity and fund-raising given by the symphony staff, volunteers heard reports on the state of the symphony from Ex ecutive Director Tom McGuire, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Nancy Faircloth, and Secretary of Cultural Resources Sara Hodgkins. General Manager Hiram Black offered a brief preview of the upcoming season, which will feature a year-long celebration of the 150th anniver sary of Johannes Brahms' birth. Glenn Clark Honored By Church Members Glenn Clark, who recently mov ed to Raeford from Lumber Bridge where he and Mrs. Clark have made their home for many years, was honored by the Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church members on Sunday, February 6, in a ceremony presenting him the honor of Elder Emeritus. After the morning worship ser vice and the presentation, a boun tiful covered dish luncheon was en joyed by those present.
