On last Monday, February 6, Hoke County experienced its first snow
of the season, but for Oscar (left) and Luis Gurley (right) it was a new
experience. They recently moved to this area from Colombia, South
America. Of all the unusual experiences in their new home, seeing the
snow seemed to be the most exciting, and they seemed to relish the en
joyment they experienced while running and playing in the snow.

boys enrolled in Scurlock School on January 17.
