Free and reduced medical care being offered for some residents The Hoke County Health Department and the Hoke County physicians recently completed an arrangement to provide some free and/or reduced cost medical care for Hoke County citizens. This arrangement is being fund ed from the Federal Jobs Bill which probably will not be refund ed in future years. The Jobs Bill Funds are to be us ed to provide health care to those persons who are unemployed or disadvantaged. Persons with incomes above cer tain levels or those covered by health insurance, medicaid, or medicare will not qualify.
