A week of music set as Hobnob kicks off at library By Elizabeth Bur|ess The activities for the Hoke County Heritage Hobnob Arts ?Festival are set, and the library ^taff is looking forward to the many events and performances that will be taking place in the Hoke County Public Library. On Monday evening at 7:30, there will be a Jazz Concert. The Hoke County Public Library Board of Trustees is hosting the reception following the perfor mance. # On Tuesday evening at 7:30, Diane Upchurch Guthrie and Joy Coswell from Fayetteville, will pre sent a concert. The Chaminade Music Club of Raeford will host the reception following the perfor mance. On Wednesday Carol Walters, librarian and storyteller from Troy and Paula Larke, musician and dramatist from Winston Salem, fwill perform for all kindergarten, first, and second graders in the Hoke County School System. At 11 a.m. there will be a com munity performance for children and adults. On Thursday a Blue Grass band from Sanford will perform on the lawn outside the library. Please come at 12:15 p.m. and bring your ?lawn chair. Sandwiches, potato chips, brownies, and drinks will be catered by Mrs. J.W. Walker. The sandwich plate will be SI. Come have lunch and enjoy the music while you picnic. On Friday Olive Jenkins, harpest from Durham, will provide Library News music in the library from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Come admire the ex hibits and listen to beautiful music on Friday. The Garden Department of the Raeford Woman's Club is pro viding flowers for the library dur ing the festival week. Arts and crafts will be on display in the library during the entire week.
