Ma jekodunmi will be serving as a summer intern, sponsored by the Agricultural Extension Pro gram at North Carolina AAT State University. The purpose ?of the summer internship is to provide on-the-job paid ex perience to students interested in careers with Extension. The interns receive instruction in flow to deliver informal educa tional programs to diverse au diences. Majekodunmi will work primarily with the county's farmers, under the supervision of county extension chairman Willie Featherstone. A native of Nigeria, Ma jekodunmi received his B.S. in agricultural economics this spr ing from A& T. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until it forms a ball. Remove from ? heat. Beat egg all at once. Con tinue heating until smooth. Drop by teaspoon in I inch balls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 20-30 minutes in 400? oven or until puffed and golden. Cool away from draft. Cut off top. Pull out filaments. Fill. PEACH PICKLE 3 cups sugar 4 sticks cinnamon, broken peaches 1 cup vinegar 12 whole cloves A good meat accompaniment. Prepare syrup, add cloves and cin namon. Drop peeled peaches in syrup and cook until barely tender. Pack in jars. Process 10 minutes. PECAN CARAMEL 3 cups sugar 1 cup milk 2 cups chopped pecans 1. 1/2 cup sugar 2. tablespoons butter Boil 3 cups sugar with milk. Melt 1 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet to caramel. Cook sugar and milk mixture to soft ball stage, then add caramel, nuts, and butter Remove from heat and beat until creamy. Pour into buttered dish. Cut into squares when cool. GOLDEN NUTS 1 1/2 cups sugar 1./4 cups warm water 2 tablespoons grated orange rind 3 tablespoons orange juice 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 2 1/2 cups nut halves Stir sugar with water and add orange juice. Cover and boil 1 minute until sugar crystals on side of pans are dissolved. Uncover, ;cook at 240? or soft ball stage. Add remaining ingredients. Stir with fork until creamy. Turn onto waxed paper. Separate, cool, store 4n tight container. WATER CHESTNUTS IN BACON .Slice chestnuts. Cut bacon strips in <vh$lf. Spread a thin layer of peanut -butter on bacon strips - wrap around chestnut secure with toothpick. Broil until bacon is crisp. Serve hot. ?
