Warner graduates from NCSU Institute Graduation exercises were held Friday, May 11, for the 23rd class of the Agricultural Institute at North Carolina State University. Dr. H.B. Craig, institute direc tor, said 1 15 associate degrees were awarded to students completing the two-year program, which prepares people to manage farms and businesses related to agriculture. Charles Richard Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Warner, Warner Road, Raeford, majoring in field crops technology was among the graduates. Henry M. Simons Jr., executive director of Farm Credit Bank Ser vice, Farm Credit Banks of Col umbia, South Carolina delivered the graduation address. Other program participants in cluded NCSU Chancellor Bruce R. Poulton; Dr. J.E. Legates, dean of the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences; Dr. E.W. Glazener, director of academic affairs for the school; and Craig. Graduating seniors at Flora Macdonald Academy These Flora Macdonald seniors will graduate during ceremonies held on Thursday. Three Raeford residents will be among the graduates. They are Cynthia Lynn Gibson, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Gibson, L isa Gayle Inman, who is the daughter of Mary Alyce and Dewey In man and Laura Benton McLeod, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James B. McLeod. On Sunday the students will attend a baccalaureate ser vice. The address will be delivered by Dr. John C. Ropp of the Raeford Presbyterian Church. Music will be provided by organist Alline Adcock. and the Flora Macdonald Academy Chorus. At the ceremony on Thursday, I US. Rep. Charles G. Rose HI will be the graduation speaker. Stan ding with the graduates are mascots Joshua Sessoms (front left), who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy If '. Sessoms of Lumber Bridge and Julia Simmons (front right), who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady L. Simmons of Lumherton. We will remember you always, Class of '84. 4 You're a great group.
