The bride is the daughter of Brig. Gen. (Ret.) and Mrs. Josiah Blasingame Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. W. Kemper Fitch of Raeford. The Rev. Fitch officiated at the double ring ceremony. The chapel was decorated with ferns and candelabras. The bride, escorted by her father, and given in marriage by her parents, wore an antique gown of bobin net with tambour lace ap plique on the bodice, above-elbow sleeves, and double-tiered skirt, with short train. The waist-length veil of re-embroidered bobin net was edged in handmade lace. She wore her great-grandmother's necklace of seed pearls and sap phires, and carried a bouquet of long-stemmed sweetheart roses. The matron of honor was Catherine Welch of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The bridesmaids included Julie Guille of Petersburg, Virginia, Sharon Kerns of Chesterfield, Virginia, 1 Jeanne Emmerson of Stony Creek, Virginia, Tracy Bender of Houston, Texas, and Deirdre Lavieri of Atlanta, Georgia. They wore floor-length gowns of pale green and white voile, featuring tucked bodices, self ruffles at the neck and cuffs, and sashed with white satin ribbon. They carried boquets of red roses and baby's breath. Christy Blasingame, niece of the bride, was flower girl, wear ing a dress matching those of the attendants and carrying a basket of daisies. W. Kemper Fitch III of Aber deen, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen includ ed Josiah Blasingame III, brother of the bride, of El Paso, Texas, Toby Johnson of Aberdeen, Cary McCutheon of Blacksburg, Virginia, Philip James of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and Brion Fridman of Atlanta, Georgia. The men wore gray morning coats with red rose boutonnieres. W. Kemper Fitch IV, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer. He carried a pillow made for the couple by Jeanne Emmerson. The mother of the bride wore a matinee-length gown of beige lace over pale peach silk. The mother i of the bridegroom wore a pale-blue formal gown trimmed in lace. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Houston Mill House in Decatur. Greeting the guests were the newlyweds and their parents. After the reception, the couple left for a week in Jamaica. On their Mrs. Robert Thomas Filch return, Mr. and Mrs. Fitch will reside in Winder. Prior to the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a dinner party following the rehearsal at the Houston Mill House. The bride is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and is now employed by Hayes Microcom puter Products of Atlanta as a computer programmer. The groom is a graduate of Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia and will be pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Georgia in the fall. Local Jaycettes change name to Raeford Jcrycee Women The Raeford Jaycettes recently voted to change their name to the Raeford Jaycee Women. The Raeford Jaycee Women is an af filiated local chapter of the North Carolina Jaycee Women and the United States Jaycee Women. The Raeford Jaycee Women support many community ac tivities such as the TMH Carnival, the Literacy Program and Senior Citizens and support foundations such as Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foun dation and the Jaycee Burn Center. The Raeford Jaycee Women, auxiliary to the Raeford Jaycees is a leadership training organization open to any young women between the ages of 18 and 35. The garden ceremony took place at the home of the groom with the Reverend David Garrison of Chapd Hill officiating at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie L. Walters of Route 3, Raeford. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Beaver of Havelock. Guitarist and soloist, James Guidici of Chapel Hill, provided musical selections of "The Wed ding Song," "The Lord's Prayer," and "All the Way." The bride, escorted by her father, wore a full length white organza gown over satin featuring a curved off shoulder bodice and scooped back, enhanced with a double organza ruffle. The gown was accented with a sky blue satin sash at the waist with blue satin roses on the ruffle of the neckline. The bride's headpiece formed a halo made of blue and white silk flowers with white satin streamers. She carried a bouquet of blue and white silk flowers with baby's breath and narrow white satin streamers. Dot Hall of Chapel Hill served as the bride's attendant and the groom's father served as best man. The mother of the bride wore a street length dress of red crepe ac cented with a corsage of red roses. The groom's mother wore a street length dress of deep pink organza. Her corsage was of pink roses. The bride is a graduate of Hoke County High School and attended Sandhills Community College. She is presently employed with Applied Control Systems, Inc., in Inven tory Control at the Research Triangle Park in Durham. The groom is a graduate of the Univer sity of North Carolina and is general manager of the Chapel Hill Country Club. A reception was held immediate ly after the ceremony on the sun deck of the home of the groom. A color scheme of blue and white was carried throughout with a three tiered wedding cake adorning the bride's table. A light lunch, cham pagne and punch was served to the guests. Several arrangements of summer flowers were used throughout the home. Guests at the wedding were the immediate family members and close friends of the bride and groom. Roland Fulk, uncle of the bride was photographer for the occa sion. After a wedding trip to the Kiawa Islands off the coast of South Carolina, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Donald E.
