As a public service, The Life
Center of Fayeiteville will pre
sent a workshop for family
members and significant others
to educate them about the
disease of alcoholism/drugism,
and to train them in an in
tervention method designed to
lovingly confront the
alcoholic/addict with his/her
disease, and to cause him/her
to seek help. This series of
workshops will be held at The
Hope Mills United Methodist
Church July 31, 7 p.m. to 9

musical revue, "Razzle Dazzle

Jackson look alike. Candidates

Mclnnis, McFadyen couple wed
in O/press Church on July 8 ^
Jane Brooks McFadyen and
Richard Glenn Mclnnis were
united in marriage at 4 o'clock on
Sunday, July 8, at Cypress
Presbyterian Church near
Cameron.
The Rev. Michael Bliss of
ficiated. Michael Spivey, cousin of
the bride, was organist and
rendered a program of music prior
to the ceremony. Larry Rice was
soloist and sang "The Wedding
Song" and "The Wedding
Prayer".
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Neill Dougald McFadyen
of Vass. The groom is the son of
Mrs. Frances Mclnnis of Raeford
and Glenn Mclnnis of Dundar
rach.
The church was decorated with
two wicker baskets of white spider
mums, carnations, and blue and
white mixed flowers. Ferns were
used in the pulpit.
The bride, given in marriage by
her parents, and escorted by her
father, wore a white organza gown
with a high illusion neck. The
gown was accented with pearls and
alencon, shiffle', and chantilly
lace. The veil was chapel length
and falling from a Juliet headpiece
and was embellished with lace ap
pliques.
Attending the bride as matron of
honor was her sister-in-law, Mrs.
Patricia McFadyen of Vass.
Bridesmaids were Anne Seagroves,
cousin of the bride, of Vass; Mrs.
Helen Jemigan of Goldsboro;
Lynn Joyner of Southern Pines;
Marcia Barnes of Boone, cousin of
the bride; and Mrs. Anita Carter
of Cameron. Mrs. Margaret Blue
presided at the guest register.
The bridesmaids wore light blue
floor length gowns, ruffled at the
off-the-shoulder neckline and at
the hem.
Glenn Mclnnis was best man for
his son. Ushers were Stewart
McFadyen, brother of the bride,
Kenny Mclnnis, brother of the
groom, Neill McKenzie, Sam War
ren and Weldon Bishop.
The bride is a graduate of Peace
College in Raleigh and Ap
Mrs. Richard Glenn Mclnnis
palachian University in Boone. She
is employed with Moore County
Schools as a teacher in Southern
Pines.
The groom is a graduate of Pem
broke University and is employed
as manager of Cole's Grocery in
Raeford.
After a wedding trip cruise to
the Bahamas the couple will live at
a location between Aberdeen and
Raeford.
RECEPTION
A reception was held at
Woodlake County Club following
the ceremony hosted by Mr. and
Mrs. McFadyen. Mr. and Mrs.
Malcolm Blue greeted guests, and
Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Johnson said
the good-byes. Mrs. Alice
Seagroves and Mrs. Margaret
Johnson, aunts of the bride,
poured punch. Mrs. Iris Spivey,
Mrs. Sarah Barnes, and Mrs. Ruth
Johnson, also aunts of the bride,
served cake.
REHEARSAL DINNER
The groom was host for a
rehearsal dinner on Saturday even
ing at the Sheraton in Southern
Pines for members of the wedding
party.
BRIDAL LUNCHEON
On Saturday, July 7 at the home
of Mrs. Iris Spivey in Sanford, a
bridal luncheon was held with Mrs.
Spivey, Mrs. Sarah Barnes, Mrs.
Ruth Johnson, aunts of the bride
as hostesses. The bride chose this
time to present her gifts to her at
tendants.
