Deaths & Funerals Elizabeth Gay Mrs. Elizabeth Overton Guy, 44, died Friday morning in Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayet teviDe. Funeral services were hdd at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rockfish Taber nacle Baptist Church by Revs. Carl Strickland and Rev. Jimmy Dees. Burial was in church cemetery. . Survivors are her husband: James L. Guy of Route 2, Raeford; two sons: James An thony Guy of the home and Michael Linwood Guy of the home; one brother: Mr. Charles Overton of Fayetteville and one sister: Mrs. Betty Johnson of Route 2. Raeford. _ _ Crpmpler Funeral Home assisted the family. Josfeaa Peterldn Funeral services for Joshua Peter kin, of 1520 Moore Street in Raeford, were to be held Wednes day at 4 p.m. at Silver Grove Bap tist Church. The Reverend W.K. Mitchell was to perform the service. Peterldn was 78 at the time of his death last Sunday. During his working years, Peterldn was employed by the civil service. Peterkin was the Chairman of the Board of Deacons at Silver Grove Baptist Church and was to be buried with masonic rites. He was a member of East Freedom Masonic Lodge number 328. Doby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Coaaie M. Torrey Mrs. Connie McLean Torrey, of 1725 Cardinal Circle in Fayet teville, was buried last Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Torrey died on July 23 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Reverend Harry McRae per formed the service. Mrs. Torrey is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Dora Leach and Mrs. Lillie Smith, both of Raeford and Mrs. Peggy Scurlock of Lumber Bridge. Doby Funeral Home directed the services. Coliform bacteria is an en vironmental bacteria which is found in the soil and intestinal tract of warm blooded animals. The presence of coliform bacteria in drinking water indicates that some contamination has occurred. In an attempt to correct the cause of the contamination we have done the following: We have flushed water lines.
