Keep "cool" to avoid heatstroke
Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency strik
ing at the elderly, athletes of all ages, and infants. It's
severe for the elderly and hot weather athletes.
A well advised treatment is the reduction of high
temperature. Ice water baths, with massage of the ex
tremities, is recommended
Prevention is common sense. Avoid rubber sweat suits
in hot weather Plenty of water, or fluids should be on
hand while exercising, or working An adequate salt intake
with meals is advised. Pace yourself at work and exercise.
Stay on the "cool side" of summer.
