Over 20 years Douglas L. Hunt has recently completed 20 years continuous service with the Raeford Plant of Burlington Industries. Mr. Hunt began work in the Spinn ing Department as a Service Person, since that time he has had several promotions within the Spinning Department and once in the Maintenance Department. Mr. Hunt's pre sent position is a Spinning P.M. Technician Assistant in the Spinning Department. He was presented a pearl pin, certificate and a gift to recognize the good record. Garland Farmer Jr. Farmer receives Texas assignment Airman Garland Farmer Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete G. Farmer of 765 Edgehill Road, Fayetteville. has been assigned to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, after com pleting Air Force Base basic train ing. Quring the six weeks at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who com plete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The airman will now receive specialized instruction in the air craft maintenance Held. He is a 1984 graduate of Seventy-first High School, Fayet teville. His aunt, Tina M. Godwin, resides in Raeford.
