In action last Thursday night, the Bucks capitalized on the t mistakes of E.E. Smith High School and won that crucial match, 13-7. "We had a real good ballgame," Jones said. "It was very tight, as we ex pected." Jones was very proud as he described how the Bucks, down by seven points at the half, came back and popped the visiting team. The Bucks are now tied with Reid Ross in a race for the con ference's number 2 playoff berth^ said Jones. 0 If the Bucks win and Reid Ross loses to E.E. Smith next week, the Bucks will seal it up. Reid Ross and the Bucks are both 4-2 in the conference. Lumberton will be the last foes to face the Bucks in regular season play. Last week, they beat Terry San ford 35-27. The Recreation Department is sponsoring a trip to the Waccamaw Pottery Complex in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Do your holiday shopping early. The cost of the trip will be $5 per person, and is limited to the first 45 PAID REGISTERED INDIVIDUALS. The date is Tuesday, November 13. Plans are currently being made to stop at a local Myrtle Bea'ch restaurant for an evening meal. Departure time is set for 8 a.m. in the field adjacent to the Old National Guard Armory. Parks and Recreation basketball Hoke County Parks and Recreation Commission will be spon soring four different adult basketball leagues this Fall and Winter for all interested participants. Details for the various leagues are as follows: Men's Liniment: Ages 30-up as of January 1, 1985. Place and time for games will be arranged at a later date. Organizational meeting will be January 7, 7 p.m., Parks and Recreation Office (Old National Guard Armory). Women's League: Ages 18-up, or no longer in High School. Place and time for games will be arranged at a later date. Organizational meeting will be Monday, November 12, 7 p.m., at the Parks and Recreation Office (Old National'Guard Ar mory) Men's League: Ages 18-up, or no longer in High School.
