When Brunson arrived home, he wanted a cigarette and thought that Peterson must have arrived home because he saw a light on in the house. He just walked in, the statement says, and sheriff's reports show nothing concerning evidence of forced enfrv. Mrs. Peterson was alone in the house with five children, reports say. When Peterson arrived home, his wife went to a neighbor's house and called the Sheriff's Depart ment, reports say. Upon the deputy's arrival, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were sitting in the living room of the house with Brunson, reports say. DSS energy assistance office hours extended Office hours are being extended to accommodate applicants who wish to qualify for the Low In come Energy Assistance Program, Hoke County Department of Social Services Director Ken Witherspoon said Tuesday. The office, which is located in the old Civil Defense Building on West Donaldson Avenue, will be open this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The office will also be open until 6 p.m. on November 28 and 29, Witherspoon said. Applications are being taken through November 30. Deaths & Funerals Megan Tew Megan Quinn Tew, 4 month-old daughter of David and Donna Tew, died Tuesday, November 6. The funeral was Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Raeford, the Rev. Billy Beaver officiated. Also surviving are two brothers, Jason and Brian Tew of the home; the maternal grandmother, Charleen Chason Britt of Raeford and paternal grandmother Martha Snipes of Fairmont. Lula Williamson Mrs. Luia P. Williamson, daughter of the late Jim Parker and Mary McGalbert Parker, died November 6. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church where she . served faithful and worked hard as long as her health allowed her. She was married to Randolph Williamson. She was a member of the Tent for several years. She is survived by two sons: Prince Parker of the Home and Ernest T.
