Personals Mr. and Mrs. Dave Gould of Largo, Fla. visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Wilson for several days last week. They were enroute to Bay Shore, New York. Mr. and Mrs. John Harris, John Jr., Christy, and Michael of Kinston, Miss Linda Kaye Teal of Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Walker of Durham spent Thanksgiving with Mrs. Eloise Teal. The Walkers also visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Walker. Mrs. Bertha Leslie has returned home from a three month visit with her granddaughter Brendila Leslie in San Antonio, Texas. Birthday gathering Mrs. Ruth Willis (left) was entertained at a party on November 25 to celebrate her 86th birthday. She shared the occasion with her brother and sister-in-law, Will (center) and Ethel Monroe (right). Hosts were Mrs. Margaret English , Mrs. Lottie Mae Layton, and Buddy Willis. Nieces and nephews assisted with the party. One hundred and sixty relatives and friends came to the Civic Center to greet the honorees. White enterta i ned at bridal parties Continuing a series of parties for Miss Jenny White, December 8 bride-elect, Mesdames John Pope, Joseph McArthur, Frank Patter son and Sam Warner entertained for her at a coffee hour on Satur day at the Pope home in Fayteville. The honoree was presented a corsage of red carnations on ar rival, and the refreshment table, laid with a white linen cloth, was centered with an arrangement of red carnations. Coffee was poured from a silver service, and guests helped themselves to a dainty array of finger foods. Gift of the hostesses to Miss White was a dinner plate in her chosen china pattern. Attending from St. Pauls were Miss White, her mother, Mrs. Thomas White, and Mesdames K. Hogan Sr., Carlton H. THRU kc. t Woodmen present flag In a ceremony on Wednesday evening, an American and Chris tian Flag Set was presented to the Raeford Church of God by the local W.O.W. Lodge 6179. Those making the presentation were Mary Ruth Haire - President of Lodge 6179, Evelyn Ashburn, Peggy Calloway, Bertha Hendrix, Joan Sanders, Louise Taylor and Ruth Wilkerson. Joan is also a member of the Church of God. Rev. Childress, pastor of the church, thanked the Woodmen, and stated they were very grateful and pleased to receive this set of flags, and felt they would add much to their services. Couple honored On November 28 a dinner party honored Lisa Crowder and Greg Robinson at the Sheraton in Southern Pines. Harvey of St. Pauls. The bride elect is a graduate of Hoke High School. The groom elect is a graduate of St. Paul High School. Both are employed at Croft Metals.
