From the front door to the back porch. North Carolina's elegant man sion is being decorated for holi day visitors to the annual Christmas open bouse. The Ex ecutive Mansion will be open for Christmas visitors Thurs day through Sunday, Dsc. 13-M. Hours arc 10 am. -3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday. There will be no guided tours, but volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. Admission is free and no reservations arc needed. N TRYON PALACE CHRISTMAS - The excite ment of the original opening of Tryon Palace will be captured in this year's Tryon Palace 18th Century Christmas Celebra tion. Dec. 17-19 DEMOND WILSON - Former "Sanford and Son" star De mood Wilson will be preaching God's Word in a special way that young and old alike will be delighted and blessed by Wilson's insight in the World. RED BALLOON - Beginning in January the Red Balloon Children's Series will be offer ing four very popular young people's entertainers for children from three to fourteen years old. The Series is spon sored by the Performing Arts Center at Pembroke State University. All four events will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Saturdays at 2 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale at S10 for a Scries subscription and S3 for individual events. The Orchestra will perform four selections from Tschaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet including "March of the Nutcracker," "Waltz of the Flowers," "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," and "Trepak." Two traditional Christmas songs and two pieces by Leroy Anderson, "A Christmas Festival" and "Sleigh Ride" are also scheduled.
