In the first game of the night, the All Stairs defeated the House of Raeford 68-58. The All Stars leading scorers were R. Maynor-24, T. Covington- 14, L. Miller- 12 and Rob Maynor-10. House of Raeford was led by K. McDonald-18, C. Haywood-10, and R. Blue with 8 points. In the second game of the night, the Mind Blowers demolished Love's Place, 85-49. The Mind Blowers were powered by W. Love with 25 points, K. Jones with 23, and L.H. Ellerbee and L. Ellerbee with 10 points apiece. Love's Place leading scorers were T. Thomas-15, D. Moore-11, and C. Campbell added 8. In Thursday night's action, the first game saw the House of Raeford down Love's Place 67-50. C. Haywood had 14 points, G. Bailey-9, C. Stevenson and M. Jones-8 each to lead the House of Raeford in scoring. T. Thomas set the pace for Love's Place, scoring 26 points, and was followed by D. Moore with 12, and R. McCr ay with 8 points-. .. In the final game of the week, the Trailblazers downed Rarion Garage, 68-56. The Trailblazers rallied behind the scoring of N. McNeill with 23 points, V. McDougald with 21, and K. McDonald added 13. Rarion Garage's leading scorers were H. McGregor-14, Rob. Maynor and C. Wright-10 each, and N. McNeill with 8 points. The Lady Eagles captured Lady Eagles win first two games The Lady Eagles started the season with a 24-16 decision over West Lee December 3 at Sanford. K. Kelton led the Eagles with eight points followed by J. Blue with six. K. Craigmiles scored four points with B. Doby, W. Locklear, M. Pickett each scoring two. The Eagles were scoreless in the first quarter plagued by bad passes agd not being aggressive while West Lee took a 2-0 lead. The Eagles came back a little taking 7-5 lead at half-time. There was a little more action in the se cond half with the Eagles scoring 17 points to West Lee's 11 to round out the 24-16 win. Fox led West Lee with 8 points followed by Newby's 6. On Thursday, Dec. 6, the Eagles played host to Hamlet winning 28-19. The Eagles took 4-2 lead in the first quarter getting off to another slow start. The pace increased in the second quarter with the Eagles outscoring Hamlet 10-4 to take a 14-6 half time score. The second half was pretty even - 14 to 13 in favor of the Eagles. B. Doby led the Eagles with eight points followed by J. Blue and M. Pickette cach with six. W. Locklear, B. Barringcr, S. Shaw and K. Artis each scored two points. Samuels led Hamlet with 12 points. The Eagles will be on the road this week to Rockingham and East Lee. Mon., Dec. 17, the Eagles will play host to Ellerbe before the Christmas break. Raeford players helping Flora Macdonald Three young Raefordites helped the Flora Macdonald Cougars beat their first opponent on November 27. Kini McBryde, Kim McNeill and Beth Shook were all in on the 61-58 i victory over Southview Academy. The team took the victory even though their opponents had the home court advantage. In their second game last Friday, the Cougars did not do so well, los ing that game against Harrells Academy. The team will play again Thurs day against Southview. This time Flora Macdonald will be at home. They will be playing in Red Springs. All other Flora Macdonald home games will be played in the Lumberton Armory.
