" Here are some of the winning essays: By John Wright Christinas is a time of joy. It is a time for family to get together. It shows the love and care that you feel for your family and friends. And when you get a gift, remember a gift comes from the heart. It's not what a gift is, it's what a gift shows. Christmas only comes once a year, so when it does come, make it a great one. By Ruth Carpenter Christmas means a lot to me. I like to go shopping for presents for ones I love. I like it when I go to sleep and wake up to find presents for me. Some families can't have all of that. So Christmas also means to help the needy with a warm place, love, care, food, and a special mo ment like Christmas with presents. The three Wings had known that Christ was born. They followed the star and it led them to Christ. They gave gifts of gold. That's what Christmas means to me.
