Morris is a native of Raeford, and a 1973 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS Degree in Industrial Rela tions. He was formerly with First Citizens Bank in Green ville, South Carolina as a com mercial loan officer. He was very active in the United Way of Greenville County. He and his wife Elaine have one son, James, six months old. Morris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam C. Morris of Raeford. Advocacy workshop planned If you are the parent of a han dicapped child or a professional working in the field, you are in vited to attend a community workshop for an update on Federal and State Laws on Special Education. Public Law 94-142, The Creech Bill, Evaluation/Testing, Least Restrictive Setting and other related areas are on the agenda. The guest speaker will be A1 Singer, an attorney with the Developmental Disabilities Train ing Institute at the University of North Carolina and the parent of a handicapped child. The workshop is sponsored by ACCEPT (Advocacy Center for Children's Education and Parent Training), Hoke County Children's Center and Hoke Coun ty Programs for Exceptional Children. The meeting will be held Tues day, Janmuary 8, at Raeford City Hall, 315 North Main Street, from 7 to 9 p.m. Baby sitting services are available.
