Around Town (Continued from page 1) Cumberland County, Quewhiffle Township. The tax was for the following: I could not make out who signed the tax receipt. I would also like for someone to inform me what a bridge tax meant. Could it have been for a bridge in Quewhiffle township? If this tax was on a farm for a year then the tax rate must have been close to zero. How times have changed! I understand that the Hoke High School Band has been invited to at tend and march in the Inaugural Parade in Raleigh on Saturday, January 5, 1985. This is an honor to be asked to march in this event. Then with the beautiful weather it was hard to stay away from the golf course to listen and took. Anyway, I didn't have two TV's and two radios going at the same time. ? ? * This column will start my fourth year since retirement and it has kept me in touch with many people over the past three years. It seems every week that I might not have a column because of the lack of items, but it seems something always turns up to get me started writing. So keep your letters coming and leave information on my desk and I will still attempt to write something each week. Quarter century Sennit Lee Graham, Rt.
