Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory will be using Blue as a fullback or linebacker. Townsend was snagged by Catawba College in Salisbury to play on the offensive line, Jones said. Fellows, who is six feet one and weighs 215, signed Friday with Fayetteville State. He played defensive nose guard at Hoke High and is expected to play the same position in college. "All four of these young men have had great high school careers." Jones said. "They all -have contributed greatly to our football program at Hoke High," said the coach. "Their coaches wish them all the best as they move toward their col lege careers," said Jones. All four players were selected last year as all conference players in the Southeastern 4-A Division, according to Jones. Blue was also selected as Hoke High's most valuable player in 1984, he said. Pickett was picked to play in the East -West All Star Football Game, said Jones. Pickett is 6 feet, three inches tall and weighs 185 pounds, said the coach. Blue measures in at 5 feet 10 in ches and weighs 210 pounds. Tipping the scales at 213 pounds, Townsend stands 6 feet, one inch tall, said Jones. Pickett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso Pickett, Elgin is the son of Mrs. Lillie Blue, Fellows is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.T. Fellows and Tony is the son of Mrs. Lillie Townsend. A big day Hoke High football standout Marco Pickett signs a letter of Intent to play football next year at Wake Forest University.
