Burlington honors employees Over 300 employees 1 at the Raeford Plant at Bur bust on In dustries were recently recognized for having Perfect Attendance dur ing 1964. This represents over 25 H of the local facility's current employ ment. The current perfect attendance record at the Raeford Plant is held by Dorothy Bennett who is a Hand Draw-In Operator on 2nd shift in the Preparation Department. Mrs. Bennett has 22 consecutive years perfect attendance. This record is even more im pressive when one considers that Mrs. Bennett lives in Ellerbee, North Carolina and drives about 100 miles round trip each day to work. Hoke Blue Cross claims lowest in local area Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina paid benefits total ing $17,974 to hospitals, doctors, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies in Hoke County in 1984, the not-for-profit health ser vice plan announced today. The amounts paid to the doctors and institutions in other counties in the area were Cumberland $25 - million, Moore - $10 million, Scotland - $4.8 million and Robeson - $12 million. During the year, the statewide health service Plan processed 4.6 million claims for the participants in its regular Blue Cross and Blue Shield programs, amounting to $575 million in total benefits. In addition, $888 million was paid through the federal govern ment's Medicare program (Part A), which is administered by the Plan. Now in its 52nd year of ser vice, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is the state's oldest and largest health insurer. Hottel completes investment course Charles T. ? Hottel, Raeford, local representative for Mutual of Omaha and United of Omaha, has recently completed a course in family investment planning. The course consisted of a pro gram of home study and a formal two-day seminar which was con ducted in Roanoke, VA. Hottel it also a licensed representative for Mutual* s af filiate, Mutual of Omaha Fund Management Company, which manages seven mutual funds. He is associated with the George Richardson Agency, the Mutual and United agency in Winston Salem. Hodges Assoc. wins awards Hodges Associates, Inc., a Fayetteville based full-service advertising, marketing, and public relations agency has been honored with two awards by the Triangle Area Advertising Federation in its 1985 competition held recently in Raleigh. Both awards were for package designs created for The Pantry chain of convenience stores. The winning designs were for Worth King Size Cigarettes and The Pan try's own private-label bread packaging.
