The seminar was conducted by experienced Block managers from throughout North and South Carolina. "The seminar," Mrs. Banks said, "is part of a continuing educational program developed by H & R Block. Due to the ever changing nature of tax rules and regulations, it can be a full-time job just to keep up with the changes." The seminar, according to Mrs. Banks, provides a direct link between managers and com pany tax experts who continually monitor current tax legislation and its effect on the taxes citizens must pay. The subjects discussed included new Federal Tax Laws and changes in the North Carolina Filing Re quirements. Lectures and problem solving sessions allowed each par ticipant to work on sample situa tions to arrive at the best possible tax advantage for the taxpayer, Mrs. Banks said.
