Jason Huffman, a local Bambino pitcher for JRA Industries, pitched a no-hitter in the League Tournament Semi final* against Burlington on June 28 at Armory Park. Jason began the game by retiring the first thivc tellers in the first inning. He then went on to retire twelve fcore batters, for a total 01 tit teen strike outs. JRA pitcher, Jason Huffman pitched a no hitter in the game by seating 22 batters with just three walks. Blue is named to East-West team Hoke High graduate Elgin Blue has been named to play in the East -West Game scheduled tor July 25, Coach Tom Jones said Monday. Blue, who played fullback and linebacker for the Hoke High Bucks last season, was chosen for the game by members of the North CaroHna Coaches Association. The game will be played at 8 p.m. in the Grimsley High School Stadium in Greensboro. The 5 foot 10 inch Blue was named earlier to the all Southeast 4-A All Conference team. He will join fellow teammate Marco Pickett in the East-West game. Pickett signed a grant and aid with Wake Forest to play foot ball, while Blue will play his col lege ball at Lenoir Rhyne Col lege.
