The Rev. Cary McNair, the bride's pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mac McBryde of Ashley Heights. She is a 1979 graduate of Hoke County High School and is employed at J. P. Stevens, Inc. in Aberdeen. The groom is the son of Mrs. Allen Poe and the late Allen Poe of Sanford. He is a 1979 graduate of Lee County High School. He is employed at Lawn Scape in Pinehurst. Candelabra entwined with ivy decorated the church. The win dows held brass candleholders with silk flowers. White satin ribbons marked the mothers' and grand mothers' pews. Mrs. Tammy Kujawski, pianist, presented wedding music. Mrs. Kujawski and Phillip Cole per formed "Tonight 1 Celebrate My Love" and "I Pledge My Love." Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white chiffon overlay, styled with a fitted bodice. The portrait neckline with a caplit collar was edged and appliqued with silk Venise lace. The waist was trimmed with the same lace and accented with a fabric rose in the back, the full skirt extended in to a chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was at tached to a juliet cap of lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses and babies' breath with white streamers. Mrs. Daphne Logue of Chapel Hill, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Debbie Lawrence of Sanford, cousin of the bride. Miss Janice Crissman, Miss Dawn Deese, and Miss Amy Hemmens of Aberdeen, Mrs. Dawn Allred of Southern Pines, and Miss Beth Harris of Raleigh. The bride's attendants wore for mal gowns of pink and lilac taffeta featuring embroidered bodices and scalloped necklines. Each carried a basket of silk flowers with white and lavender streamers. Greg Poe of Sanford, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Bryan, Ryan, and Leonard McBryde of Aberdeen, brothers of the bride, and Patrick Conrad, nephew of the groom, Jeff Blackwelder, cousin of the groom, and Paul Utley all of Sanford. Jeremey Adam Logue of Chapel Hill, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Amanda Pickler of Ashley Heights was the flower girl. The mother of the bride wore a gray dress. The mother of the groom wore lavender. Both mothers wore corsages of pink roses. The bride's maternal and pater nal grandmothers wore corsages of silk white lilies. The wedding was directed by Linda Tulloch of Raleigh, aunt of the bride. The bridal register was attended by Mrs. Frances Pickler. RECEPTION A reception hosted by the bride's family followed the ceremony. The fellowship hall of the church featured a refreshment table with a lace cloth, an arrange ment of silk flowers and brass candelabra. The three-tier wedding cake was decorated with pink roses and had a miniature bride and groom on top. The cake was served by Mrs. Carol Martin and Mrs. Vickie Reynolds. REHEARSAL DINNER Mrs. Evelyn Poe, mother of the groom, hosted a rehearsal dinner on June 14. The bridal party, out of town guests, family and friends were invited to the Sheraton in Southern Pines after the wedding rehearsal. The bride and groom presented gifts to the bridesmaids, groomsmen and other special friends. PARTIES On Saturday, May 3, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lawrence of Sanford hosted a barbecue cookout at their home honoring Miss McBryde and Mr. Poe. On Friday, May 17, the bride elect was honoree at a lingerie shower hosted by Frances Pickler and Janice Crissman in the Pickler home. The Friendship Class of the Ashley Heights Baptist Church gave a miscellaneous shower to honor Miss McBryde on May 20. After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will make their home in Aberdeen.
