She graduated from Sandhills Community College in the LPN Nursing Class and she is employed at Moore Memorial Hospital in Pinehurst. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Love of Raeford. He graduated from Hoke County. High School and is employed at Faberge in Raeford. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Robert L. Purcell. She wore a piccione gown and hat designed by Alfred Angelo of Paris. The gown was white satin accented with flora leaf and small strings of pearls. The hat was also accented with flora leaf and pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Deborah 1. Thomas of Southern Pines was maid of honor. She wore a pink satin tea length gown. In her hair, she wore white babies' breath. She carried a gladiola with a pink ribbon. Ushers were Emanuel Taylor of Sumter, S.C. and Ricky Graham of Shannon. The men wore black Pierre Car din tuxedos with yellow cummer bunds and bow ties. Their bouton nieres were yellow carnations. Hoke Civic Center was the set ting for a party for members of the wedding party and wedding guests after the wedding. Mrs. Arlevia McRae, mother of the bride, hosted a rehearsal dinner on the evening before the wedding in the Bridge Grove Church fellowship hall. The bride and groom presented gifts to members of the wedding party. The couple plans to make their home in Sumter, S.C. On September 5 the bride was honored with a surprise shower at the Shaw Air Force Base Officers' Club. The table was covered with white lace and held arrangements of silk flowers and candles. The fifteen guests were served cake, nuts, mints, punch and dain ty sandwiches. The honoree received gifts from the guests.
