IT MATTERS, BY GEORGE... Back in 1789, George Washington already was talking about the importance of buying American textile and apparel products. In fact, he went so far as to call it "unfashionable" for American gentlemen to appear in anything that wasn't made in the U.S.A. Well a lot has changed since President Washington's time, but his advice still is sound as a dollar. It's just as important to buy American today as it ever was, for at least three very important reasons: to keep our country strong, to provide more than two million jobs for our friends and neighbors, and to get excellent quality products at reasonable prices. So take a little good advice from our first president. Buy American because it matters. After all, would George Washington steer you wrong? Burlington Industries, Inc.
