This closing will allow all library staff employees to attend a Staff Development Day for all libraries in the five-county Sandhill Regional Library System. Dec. 11-15 PASTOR'S ANNIVERSARY -- The members of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Wagram) will be celebrating the pastor's 14th anniversary Dec. 11-15. Wednesday night, Dec. 1 1, Rev. S.C. Fairley and his congregation from Nazareth Baptist Church, Wagram will be the featured guests. Dec. 12, Rev..W.K. Mitchell and Silver Grove Baptist Church of Raeford, will render services. Calvary and her congregation will render service at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 CANDY-COOKIE MAKING -- The 4-H program will offer a class on Homemade Candies and Cookies on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Classes are open to boys and girls ages 9-19. Participants will learn to make such candies as: chocolate covered cherries, peanut butter cups, mints, coconut balls, chocolate covered peanuts and pretzels, homemade suckers, as well as a variety of cookies. Jim Leonard, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at St. An drews Presbyterian College, will hold a evening seminar Thursday, Dec. 12 on buying computer hardware for personal and professional use. The seminar will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, from 7-9 p.m. in room 152 of the St. Andrews Liberal Arts Building. It will be free and open to the public. Dec. 13 CHRISTMAS PROGRAM -- Raeford Kindergarten and Day Care Nursery is having an Annual Christmas Program at the Raeford United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall on Friday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. Dec. 15 MUSICAL PROGRAM - The Adult Choir of the First Baptist Church of Raeford will present the musical, "He Started the Whole World Singing," by Bill and Gloria Gaither, on this Sunday night, Dcc. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary. The musical helps to realize how the "song" of Jesus Christ came into the work! to bring together the discord and the disharmony of man's sinful nature. It was the "song" of Jesus Christ that brought renewed hope, that brought back the glory that God had promised all along. Dec. 18 FAYETTEVILLE ACCOUNTANTS - The Fayetteville Area Chapter of the National Association of Accountants will hold their Ninth Annual Tax Symposium Dec. 18 at the Holiday Inn, 1-95.
