The concert, which lasted just over an hour. was rated as one of the best by those in attendance. A Santa Claus face centerpiece enhanced the buffet setting which was created by arranging carrot slices for the basic face, with cauliflower clusters for the beard and hat band, shredded cabbage for the mustache, olives cut in helf formed the eyes, while marichino cherries made a red nose and a radish formed the mouth. The red cap was made by ar ranging rows of cherry tomatoes " above the face and tipping the etas sle with a cluster of cauliflower. Items were brought to the meeting for distribution to veterans in the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. An Auction Sale was held for the benefit of the Treasury. Mrs. Pauline Pittman and Mrs. Ruby Penney served refreshments during a social hour which follow ed the business meeting. New members installed at Junior Woman's Club New members were installed when the Raeford Junior Woman's Club met on Monday evening. Mrs. Suzanne Balfour, Mrs. Kristi Posey, Mrs. Sandra Kelly, and Mrs. Mollie Williams were inducted into the club by Mrs. Kay Thomas, President-Elect of District Nine Of the North Carolina Federation of Women's Clubs. The business of the meeting in cluded discussion of the recent profitable Home Tour, plans for helping two households for Christmas, and an Arts outing to a dinner theater production. The meeting was held in the home of Club President Sonya Falls. The Christmas decorations and candles created a festive set ting for the meeting. Club members exchanged gifts, and Mrs. Thomas was remembered with a decoration for her tree.
