When the machines On Wednesday, November 24th, 1915, beginning at 1 o’clock, p.m., the undersigned will sell at public auction all the machinery in the lumber plant formerly owned by Jonas and Wood, known as the Gardner Lumber Plant, located in Cherry ville, N C. The sale will take place in Cherryville at the Joe Black shop, where the hiachinery is located. Among the articles to be sold are two engines, Liddell stationary, also one Liddell boiler, 25 horse power, two steam dry kilns, one four side moulder, one plainer, also buzz plainer, one re-saw machine, rip saws, end trimmers, swing cut-off saw, tenant machines, one corn mill, Fairbank Platform scales, shafting, belting, grindstone, and other property belonging to said lumber plant. The terms of the sale will be announced at the beginning of sale. The property will first be put up and sold as a whole. If the undersigned is not satisfied with the highest bid he reserves the right to refuse to accept, and then put the property up piece by piece and let the sale be final. The undersigned agrees not to by-bid, but to let the property go. If you want some cheap machinery now is the time. Any one interested can see me before sale day about term?. Dr. Saine of this city, reports that his father has a remarkable pump kin vine on his farm , which has grown the remarkable distance of 700 yards long and the one vine produced 500 pounds of pumpkin. This vine is said to have run all over a quarter of an acre of ground. Usry left Tuesday morning to attend the annual Methodist Conference which convened at Reidsville yesterday morning with bishop Lambeth presiding. Rev. Usry has served four years on Cherryville circuit and according to the rules and custom of the M. E. church he will be assigned by this confer ence to another circuit. Rev. Usry has been a fearless and zealous worker during his four years stay here for the Master’s Kingdom. He and his good family have endeared themselves to the people here, not only to the people of his own flock but to the people of all demomina- tions who will with leluctanry see them leave.
