Mr. Armfield stated that every
possible medium would be employed
to mobilize public opinion. These
include display ads, and special
articles in newspapers, radio talks,
motion pictures, public speakers,
posters and stickers. It is the ex
pectation of the N. R. A. that every
line of business will be tremen
dously stimulated during the weeks
before the end of the year, and,
with this momentum added to the
various other phases of the recov
ery program, the upward economic
trend will continue until conditions
approximating normal have been

Heart Attack Fatal
To Boonville Man
Jefferson Davis Dobbins, 73, af
fectionately known to hundreds of
friends throughout Yadkin county
as "Uncle Jeff", died suddenly Mon
day morning at his home in Boon
ville from a heart attack. He had
been in declining health for several
years.
Funeral services were conducted
at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from
the Boonville Baptiat church and in
terment was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, two
sons, L. S. Dobbins, Boonville and
Gwynie Dobbins, Winston-Salem.;
two daughters, Mrs. A. P. Speer, of
Boonville, formerly of Winston-Sal
em, and Mrs. Hobart Hall, of East
Bend, and seven grandchildren.

Odell Hamby, Aged 3,
Passed Away Sunday
Odell Hamby, three-year-old son
of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hamby, of
this city, passed away on Sunday,
following a brief- illness from diph
theria and membraneous croup. Fu
neral rites were held from the home
Monday afternoon at 2:30 and in
terment was in the Elkin Valley
cemetery. The child is survived by
hiß parents and a small brother and
sister.
