Our choir and several others from here attended the singing at Pleasant Home Sunday. There were eight groups participating, Pleasant Home, Little Elkin, Maple Springs, Cool Springs, Pleasant Hill, Yadkin 4, Cocker ham Trio, Bradley Duet. Owing to the prevalence of flu so late here we with others failed to do much rehearsal, but the old songs were not so bad heard again and there was a goodly number of new ones. The next convention will be held at the Old Home church. Cool Springs, and we want all the family, with all the grandchil dren and neighbors to join with us in a real old fashioned sing ing convention. The boys' books have arrived and many have been distributed. We're hoping that they will use them, too. Also it is understood that the boys will soon have a new pianist, thus making them even with the girls. A Mother's Day program will feature the evening service for Mother's Day, as owing to our communion service we haven't time for that in the morning ser vice, and Little Elkin is expected to join us then.
